Part of a dolphin figurine found in 1957 at the Sanctuary of the Nymphe. The upper part of the mammal’s dorsal side is burnt whereas a few remnants of white slip are retained all over the figurine’s surface.

In antiquity dolphins were connected with Aphrodite's, Apollo's, Poseidon's or even Dionysos' worship.
